Production Technician I – 2nd Shift

About the role

Alcon’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Production Technician I to support 2nd‑shift operations in California. The role involves handling technical tasks in production, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and products meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitor output quality, identify faulty products, and initiate re‑manufacture when needed.
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.
• Review work orders, schedule resources, and align operations with business objectives.
• Follow GxP regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintain proper documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement and regulatory compliance activities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, and communication in English.
• Availability for 2nd shift (3:00 PM‑12:30 AM) on‑site.
• No relocation assistance or sponsorship offered.
