Product Development Technician

About the role

Kodak is seeking a Product Development Technician to join its Printed Electronics team in Rochester, NY. The role focuses on hands‑on research and development of flexographic printing processes and ink formulations that support both laboratory‑scale experiments and eventual manufacturing scale‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Perform R&D‑scale flexographic printing and related bench‑scale experiments.
• Collaborate with scientific staff to define, design, and execute experimental plans.
• Conduct optical, physical and electrical evaluation of printed and plated samples.
• Partner with the Product Development Director to transition technologies from R&D to production.

Required profile

• A.S. degree in Chemistry or equivalent practical experience in flexographic printing, ink formulation, and laboratory best practices.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage day‑to‑day experimental workloads.
• Experience documenting data, maintaining experimental records, and working within cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Ink handling, dispersion and emulsion formulation.
• Mixing, chemical handling, flexographic printing and coating techniques.
• Optical microscopy and visual inspection.
• DC electrical measurements, including resistance testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Good laboratory practices and data entry.
