Product Development Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail‑driven Product Development Assistant to support the end‑to‑end lifecycle of our fashion products, from concept through production. The role ensures teams stay aligned, timelines are met, and communication flows smoothly between design, development, and vendor partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update work‑in‑progress (WIP) reports, tracking milestones and sample statuses across prototype, fit, SMS, and PPS stages.
• Coordinate sample arrivals, support weekly fittings and design reviews, and communicate daily with vendors on ETAs, materials, and feedback.
• Prepare and organize samples, capture feedback, and keep BOMs, spec sheets, and tracking tools current.
• Assist with fabric and trim development, including lab dip approvals.
• Support purchase order creation, vendor communication, and monitor production calendar dates, flagging risks proactively.
• Log, tag, and distribute inbound samples, track shipments, and update systems with real‑time progress.
• Share weekly WIP updates with cross‑functional teams and ensure clear communication across Design, Tech, and Merchandising.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in product development or production, including internships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
