About the role
The Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Novak Lab within the Department of Physiology & Cell Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This full‑time position supports cutting‑edge research aimed at advancing understanding of physiological mechanisms and cellular processes. The role is embedded in a collaborative health‑care environment that values teamwork, diversity, and the translation of scientific discoveries into improved patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments in physiology and cell biology.
- Maintain laboratory records, manage reagents, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and staff to advance project goals and share findings.
- Prepare manuscripts, conference presentations, and grant proposals to disseminate research outcomes.
- Mentor undergraduate or graduate trainees, providing guidance on experimental techniques and data interpretation.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Physiology, Cell Biology, or a closely related discipline.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on the start date.
- Strong analytical abilities and scientific communication skills.
