About the role

The Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Novak Lab within the Department of Physiology & Cell Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This full‑time position supports cutting‑edge research aimed at advancing understanding of physiological mechanisms and cellular processes. Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments in physiology and cell biology.
• Maintain laboratory records, manage reagents, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and staff to advance project goals and share findings.
• Prepare manuscripts, conference presentations, and grant proposals to disseminate research outcomes.
• Mentor undergraduate or graduate trainees, providing guidance on experimental techniques and data interpretation.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physiology, Cell Biology, or a closely related discipline.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the start date.
• Strong analytical abilities and scientific communication skills.
