About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to join the Kids First team in Pine Bluff, AR. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides flexible, on‑site nursing support to deliver high‑quality pediatric care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and IV therapy.
• Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
• Document all nursing activities accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Arkansas.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Experience in pediatric or acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to work flexible PRN shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency in patient assessment and clinical decision‑making.
• Skilled in medication administration, IV insertion, and wound care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation.
