Patient Support Nurse

About the role

The Patient Support Nurse at Valeris will guide patients through their therapy journey by providing education, care coordination, and psychosocial support in a fully remote, telephonic environment. This blended role combines clinical expertise with patient advocacy to ensure successful treatment outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers on assigned therapeutic areas, dosing, administration, and device use.
• Provide counseling on insurance coverage, reimbursement challenges, and available financial support options.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records in a digital CRM system.
• Coordinate resources to secure financial assistance for patients in need.
• Follow program guidelines, escalating complex cases as required.
• Support healthcare provider offices with prescription‑related questions.
• Report adverse events and product safety complaints according to SOPs.
• Participate in program‑specific meetings, training sessions, and orientation activities.

Required profile

• Experience in patient education and support, preferably within a healthcare or life‑sciences setting.
• Strong verbal communication skills for 100% telephonic or virtual interactions.
• Ability to build trust and maintain rapport with patients, caregivers, and providers.
• Familiarity with insurance processes and financial assistance programs.
• Attention to detail and adherence to program policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
