Part Time Teller – Hartford, CT

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly and reliable part‑time teller to join its Hartford branch. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking needs while upholding the bank’s standards for service and security.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times and provide exceptional service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and maintain precise cash‑drawer balances.
• Follow all bank policies, compliance and risk‑management procedures.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities and refer appropriate products.
• Use digital tools to educate customers on self‑service options.
• Assist with custodial duties, audits and other operational tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Support nearby branch locations when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• At least 6 months customer‑service experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to identify and escalate risk concerns.
• Comfortable using digital tools and technology.
• Energetic, organized and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
