Part-Time Science Tutor

About the role

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is seeking a part‑time Science Tutor to work in the Learning Center. The tutor will support undergraduate students in mastering course material and developing effective study habits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group tutoring sessions in science subjects, primarily Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II and Biology.
• Assist students in understanding and applying course concepts, assignments, and laboratory work.
• Teach and reinforce effective learning and study strategies to promote independent learning.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and report progress to the Coordinator of Tutoring Services.
• Work on campus during the fall and/or spring semesters according to the assigned schedule.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of biology, anatomy, and physiology at the undergraduate level.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Commitment to student success and ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
