About the role

The Kitchen Service Assistant supports the kitchen staff at Phillips Community College by helping prepare, serve, and clean food in a safe and efficient manner. This part‑time, fixed‑term position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and smoothly operating kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Help with setup and breakdown of kitchen stations.
• Support inventory checks and basic stock replenishment.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food‑service or kitchen environment is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lb.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
