Part-Time Field Inspector (Independent Contractor)

About the role

FAR Inspections is seeking reliable independent contractors to conduct residential mortgage inspections in Daviess County, Missouri. As a Field Inspector you will verify property occupancy and capture visual data during brief exterior visits, working on a schedule you control.

Key responsibilities

• Determine residential occupancy status using industry‑standard indicators.
• Capture nine or more photos per inspection and submit concise reports via mobile applications.
• Plan and follow your own routing to cover the assigned rural territory efficiently.
• Maintain consistent coverage and meet daily/weekly inspection volume targets.

Required profile

• Own a reliable, fuel‑efficient vehicle suitable for country roads.
• Possess a smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running the reporting app.
• Have a computer with internet access and a printer for document handling.
• Demonstrate strong time‑management skills and the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Pass a standard background check.
