Outreach Case Worker – Spanish Speaking (CDPP)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Spanish‑speaking Outreach Case Worker to join its Health & Wellness team in Contra Costa County. You will help vulnerable clients overcome barriers to mental health services by delivering culturally appropriate education, workshops, and referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility screening (e.g., RHS‑15) and explain program expectations and confidentiality.
• Provide navigation assistance for healthcare, social services, and other community resources.
• Design and lead psycho‑social workshops on emotional regulation, self‑empowerment, and goal setting.
• Assess client knowledge before and after workshops to measure impact.
• Maintain accurate intake, assessment, and reporting documentation for funders.
• Update workshop curricula and mental‑health education tools to ensure linguistic and cultural relevance.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong intercultural communication skills.
• Experience working with immigrant or newcomer populations, preferably in a mental‑health or social‑service setting.
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop service plans, and coordinate referrals.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mental‑health screening tools such as RHS‑15.
• Experience designing and facilitating group workshops.
• Proficiency in client intake and case documentation.
