About the role

The Department of Higher Education & Learning Technologies at East Texas A&M University seeks an Open Rank Professor to join a research‑active, R2 classified institution. The appointment is a 9‑month, tenure‑track or tenured faculty position beginning Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in higher education and learning technologies.
• Conduct scholarly research, secure external funding, and publish in peer‑reviewed venues.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students and junior faculty.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and university governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated record of research, teaching, and service appropriate to the rank applied for.
• Eligibility for tenure (for Associate Professor or Professor ranks) as defined by university policy.
