Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its clinical staff on a temporary, as‑needed basis. This position supports patient imaging services, ensuring safe and accurate administration of radiopharmaceuticals and high‑quality diagnostic images.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET scanners.
• Document procedures, patient interactions, and quality control activities accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student employees or graduate assistants).
• Valid license or certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work variable shifts on an as‑needed (PRN) schedule.
