Network Technician

About the role

The Network Technician provides comprehensive technical support to users across the district, ensuring all devices and applications operate smoothly. Working under the Director of Technology Innovation Services, the role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents while coordinating with engineering and subject‑matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Log, prioritize, and resolve user incidents in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, repair, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software for Windows and Apple devices.
• Set up access rights, security settings, and install required software.
• Troubleshoot wireless LAN infrastructure and assist with LAN/WAN issues.
• Diagnose network hardware and peripheral equipment failures.
• Provide user training and technical assistance.
• Support and improve student application systems and related business processes.

Required profile

• Associate degree or coursework in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent BA degree).
• Five (5) or more years of recent, progressively responsible experience in a network environment.
• Experience coordinating help‑desk services, including email support.
• Valid California driver’s license and high school diploma (or equivalent).
• Resume and required documentation attached to the application.
