About the role
The Mobile Mammography Technologist provides breast imaging services using a mobile unit that travels to community sites, supporting early detection and patient care within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences network.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the mobile mammography unit and perform high‑quality breast imaging examinations.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Maintain equipment, perform routine calibrations, and document all imaging activities.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to review images and support diagnostic decisions.
- Educate patients on the procedure, obtain informed consent, and provide a supportive environment.
- Manage scheduling, patient records, and reporting in accordance with institutional policies.
Required profile
- Qualified mammography technologist with appropriate certification and licensure.
- Ability to travel to various locations and operate a mobile imaging platform.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and patient confidentiality.
