Medical Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our foot and ankle specialty practice in the Lombard and Schaumburg area. You will work closely with physicians, providing direct patient care, preparing exam rooms, and supporting daily clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect medical history and update records.
• Take basic vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, pulse).
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and set up procedure trays.
• Perform in‑office X‑ray imaging.
• Manage medical supplies and coordinate inventory ordering.
• Handle administrative duties and provide front‑desk support as needed.
• Assist physicians with patient‑care activities and schedule follow‑up appointments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification with at least 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Patient‑focused, able to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
