Manufacturing Supervisor & Training Lead

About the role

3M is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor & Training Lead to drive safety, quality, productivity and employee engagement at its Ohio facility. You will lead a team of production operators, coordinate staffing, and deliver comprehensive training programs that ensure a skilled, safety‑first workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Meet facility objectives for safety, quality, service, productivity and employee engagement.
• Coach and train employees on safety, quality standards and operational procedures.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling and cross‑training to meet customer demand.
• Assist production in resolving quality and equipment issues.
• Leverage resources to address process, maintenance, equipment, technical and personnel challenges.
• Develop and execute training programs, ensuring all employees are qualified for their roles.
• Approve and close production reports, training employees on reporting accuracy.
• Manage administrative processes such as audit standards, vacation planning and overtime.
• Identify, document and resolve safety and ergonomic concerns, reinforcing safe behaviors.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and respond to emergency situations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership with a focus on safety‑first culture.
• Strong communication skills for coaching, training and cross‑functional coordination.
• Ability to troubleshoot production, quality and equipment issues.
• Experience in scheduling, staffing and cross‑training teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and employee development.
