Maintenance Technician – The Ironwood

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for The Ironwood will ensure that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and compliance.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Attention to detail in completing make‑ready inspections and documentation.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and participating in regular safety meetings.
• Willingness to work with vendors and manage inventory responsibly.
