Maintenance Technician – Tamarind Square

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Tamarind Square community in Sunnyvale. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all work orders and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in building or property maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, work orders, and documentation standards.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and scheduling.
• Flexibility to work alternating two‑week schedules.
