Logistics & Customs Manager – US Operations

About the role
Messika, a Parisian haute joaillerie Maison, is expanding its US subsidiary and seeks a Logistics & Customs Manager to ensure seamless logistics operations and full compliance with US customs regulations. You will act as the primary liaison with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners while supporting retail, events, and store projects across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all import/export activities comply with US regulations (CBP, Fish & Wildlife, Lacey Act, etc.).
- Manage customs declarations, post‑entry processes, liquidation reviews, and special regimes such as TIB.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and monitor regulatory changes.
- Oversee transportation flows for valuable and non‑valuable goods, optimizing costs and service levels.
- Coordinate logistics for retail operations, events, and store projects, maintaining incident and dispute registers.
- Supervise 3PL partners, control inventory distribution, and improve logistics processes to support growth.
- Collaborate closely with HQ Logistics & Customs teams in Paris to align with global standards.
Required profile
- 3–5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of US customs regulations and experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- Detail‑oriented, structured, and highly accountable.
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
