IT Site Infrastructure Manager – Manufacturing & Technical Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking an experienced IT Site Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, delivery, and lifecycle management of all IT infrastructure services for its Fort Worth, Texas manufacturing and distribution campus. The role supports a 24x7 high‑volume production environment and works closely with global IT and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end integration and delivery of data‑center, network, firewall, compute, server, backup, capacity, vulnerability, cybersecurity, asset lifecycle, and print management services.
• Maintain maximum uptime for a highly automated manufacturing site operating 24x7x365.
• Act as escalation point for incidents unresolved by first‑line support and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Collaborate with business and global IT teams to define infrastructure requirements and propose solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Partner with the Site IT Head on planning, budgeting, and business‑initiative support.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and audit requirements.
• Manage vendors, coordinate multiple initiatives, and mentor third‑party support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., High School + 13 years, Associate + 9 years, MS + 2 years).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• On‑site work location in Fort Worth with up to 5 % travel.
• No relocation assistance or sponsorship available.
