IT Director, Enterprise Architecture and Development

About the role

The Director of Enterprise Architecture and Development leads the strategic design, implementation, and management of the organization’s IT architecture and development initiatives. This senior position collaborates with executive stakeholders to align business objectives with technology strategies, optimizes information management, and drives innovation across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall SAP strategy, roadmaps, and financial plans aligned with business goals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on SAP capabilities and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the organization’s technology roadmap, ensuring ERP, CRM and other enterprise applications align with broader objectives.
• Build and lead cross‑functional teams of senior managers, SAP consultants, and third‑party vendors, fostering collaboration across IT, business units, and external partners.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP with O365, AWS, Azure and other enterprise systems, and lead SAP S/4HANA cloud migration and clean‑core initiatives.
• Manage enterprise architecture in LeanIX, covering application portfolio management, architecture planning, and technology risk compliance.
• Drive adoption of hybrid cloud solutions that combine on‑premises and Azure/AWS environments.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in the SAP ecosystem with deep knowledge of SAP BTP, S/4HANA, ABAP, UI5/Fiori and related technologies.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Proven senior leadership experience managing large development and architecture teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
