Intern – Programme Management

About the role

This full‑time, unpaid internship is based in the Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) within the Division for Special Activities (DSA) of the Department of Operational Support at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The Intern will support the Programme Officer in delivering knowledge‑management, coordination and research activities that contribute to UN peacekeeping enabling capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and consolidating substantive materials related to TPP engagements and trainings.
• Support the preparation of briefing documents, background materials and high‑level engagement products.
• Maintain records of meetings, action items and supporting documents.
• Help plan and coordinate TPP trainings and meetings across multiple locations.
• Provide research support for background and information materials.
• Undertake projects such as drafting articles, conducting interviews, or delivering internal presentations as required.

Required profile

• Reports to the Programme Officer and works under the general guidance of professional TPP staff.
• Available for a duration of five to six months on a full‑time basis.
• Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
