Interior Designer – Philadelphia Studio

About the role

Interior Architects is seeking a Designer (or Senior Designer) to join its Philadelphia studio. Reporting to a Senior Designer or Project Manager, you will support project administration, design development, and contract documentation for corporate interior projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop concepts and produce drawings.
• Oversee design and drawing production on smaller projects.
• Review engineering drawings for compliance with design solutions.
• Research and select fixtures, finishes, and furnishings in partnership with senior staff.
• Create preliminary and final space plans, handling more complex issues on larger projects.
• Develop interior design details, furniture packages, and cost estimates.
• Manage design budgets and mentor junior/intermediate designers.
• Conduct client interviews to capture space requirements.

Required profile

• Graduate of an architecture or design program (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in corporate interior design.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, space planning, furnishings, and finishes.
• Familiarity with building systems, codes, ADA, path‑of‑travel, and contract administration.

Required skills

• Advanced Revit proficiency.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
• Experience with Affinity design tools.
• Advanced sketching, rendering, and interior architecture detailing.
