Instructor of Kinesiology

About the role

McNeese State University seeks a full‑time Instructor of Kinesiology to join the Department of Kinesiology in the Burton College of Education. The position begins in August 2026 and involves teaching, advising, and service within a vibrant academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach approximately 15 credit hours of undergraduate and, when applicable, graduate courses related to physical medicine and kinesiology.
• Advise undergraduate (and possibly graduate) students across multiple concentrations within the department.
• Participate in departmental and university committees.
• Engage in recruiting events and community partnership activities.
• Maintain ongoing professional development regardless of certification status.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in a kinesiology‑related field of physical medicine (e.g., Athletic Training, Chiropractic Medicine, Physical Therapy).
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students in higher education.
• Commitment to scholarly and professional development.
