Instructor of Business Communication

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Instructor of Business Communication to join the Department of Marketing and Computer Information Systems. This 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track position involves teaching undergraduate courses, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting student success on campus and online.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Business Communication courses in face‑to‑face and online formats.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and university service activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities that enhance teaching effectiveness.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Business Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Strong record of effective communication and student engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary department.
