Instructional Designer IV – Online & Hybrid Learning

About the role

The Instructional Designer IV leads the design, development, and support of classroom, hybrid, and online courses for Texas A&M International University. Reporting to senior leadership, this role oversees faculty training, project management, and the continuous improvement of instructional resources.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with instructors and subject‑matter experts to design and develop online, blended, and web‑enhanced courses.
• Lead faculty and staff through complex instructional design challenges and provide best‑practice recommendations.
• Manage course design projects, set goals, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee administration and maintenance of online course resources and LMS integrations.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend instructional technologies, multimedia applications, and web‑based tools.
• Conduct usability studies, course reviews, and lead the development of instructional strategies.
• Coach instructional design teammates on quality, accessibility, copyright, and learning technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field related to education, instructional design, or similar).
• Extensive experience in instructional design, andragogy, and online course development.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Learning Management System (LMS) administration and integration.
• Multimedia application usage for course development.
• Web‑based educational technology evaluation.
