Healthcare Investment Associate – AI Focus

About the role

We are seeking a pre‑MBA Associate to join B Capital’s Healthcare AI team in San Francisco. The role supports the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing innovative health‑tech opportunities to conducting rigorous due‑diligence and adding value to portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop market research and investment theses to guide sourcing efforts across health‑tech and digital health.
• Identify and source new investment opportunities aligned with AI‑driven healthcare themes.
• Screen and evaluate deal materials, leading diligence work streams such as financial modeling, audit, tax and legal analysis.
• Build detailed financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow) and perform valuation comps.
• Provide high‑touch operational support to portfolio companies and leverage B Capital and BCG networks to connect them with strategic customers.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years of relevant experience (e.g., investment banking on a healthcare team, finance or business development role).
• Undergraduate degree in economics, data science, biology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry or related field.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities and a passion for disruptive AI technologies.
• Willingness to relocate to or currently be based in San Francisco; hybrid work (3 days in‑office).
