Health and Wellness Caseworker (Spanish Speaking)

About the role

The Health and Wellness Caseworker will join IRC Oakland’s Bright Futures project, delivering psychosocial support to school‑aged youth and young adults in Contra Costa County. Working directly with refugee and immigrant families, the caseworker will help ensure educational success and community integration through coordinated services and outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Identify youth and family needs, develop individualized service plans, and monitor progress.
• Coordinate school assistance, educational accommodations, and collaboration with school counselors.
• Facilitate workshops, support groups, and community events focused on psychosocial wellbeing.
• Provide outreach, education, mental‑health screening, and referrals to external services.
• Navigate resources for parents and guardians to support children’s academic and social success.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish (both spoken and written).
• Experience providing psychosocial support or case management for refugee/immigrant youth and families.
• Strong ability to coordinate services across schools, health providers, and community organizations.
• Commitment to a holistic, solutions‑driven approach to health and wellness.
