About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks a Financial Operations Specialist to support budget and financial analysis across the institution. This full‑time, day‑shift position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed budget and financial analyses to support decision‑making.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Assist with the development and monitoring of departmental budgets.
• Ensure compliance with university financial policies and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative units to gather financial data and provide insights.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month‑end close processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related financial operations.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information.
