Entry-Level Manufacturing Associate – Plywood Mill

About the role

Join Boise Cascade’s plywood mill team as an entry‑level associate. You will work on the production floor, handling materials, operating equipment, and ensuring product quality in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Move, lift, load, unload, and stack heavy materials, containers, and finished products.
• Operate hoists, winches, hydraulic booms, and other material‑handling equipment.
• Use two‑way radios or mobile phones to communicate with supervisors and teammates.
• Maintain clean work areas, rooms, and equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and verify product conformance to specifications.
• Measure, weigh, count, and sort manufacturing materials.
• Attach or mark identification on products and containers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Willingness to work any shift and potential to advance to machinery operator.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
