About the role
Environmental Science Associates is seeking a motivated entry‑level Engineer to join its Sacramento team. You will support creek, river, floodplain, and wetland restoration projects across the Central Valley and Delta, working in a hybrid office environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in design, analysis, engineering, and drafting for water‑resources and civil‑engineering projects under senior supervision.
- Apply hydrologic and hydraulic models, GIS, and other analytical tools to multi‑benefit restoration projects.
- Prepare design plans, specifications, and cost estimates as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, hydrologists, geomorphologists, and landscape architects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain it within one year.
- Experience or training in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective written/oral communication.

- AutoCAD Civil 3D (desirable)
