About the role

The Economic Empowerment AmeriCorps position supports clients in achieving and maintaining economic self‑sufficiency. Working under the Early Employment Coordinator, you will deliver vocational training, career counseling, and employer outreach to help newcomers enter and thrive in the U.S. workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops on U.S. work culture, digital literacy, resume writing, interview techniques, and new‑hire paperwork.
• Evaluate workshop effectiveness and adapt curriculum to meet client and employer needs.
• Collaborate with early employment, adult education, and financial coaching teams to provide digital and financial literacy sessions.
• Research industry hiring trends, build relationships with local employers, and identify job opportunities for clients.
• Assist clients with pay‑stub access, monitor job performance, and track satisfaction for both employee and employer.
• Maintain accurate case files and database records, ensuring timely compliance with reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular client follow‑ups, document contacts, and provide one‑on‑one employment support as needed.
