Dismounted and Direct Action EOD Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a Dismounted and Direct Action (DA) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Trainer to design and deliver advanced training for DA EOD forces. The role involves developing tactics, techniques and procedures for both dismounted and mounted operations and ensuring trainees are proficient with standard and non‑standard energetic and mechanical tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and execute realistic DA EOD training exercises, including scenario creation and tool integration.
• Deliver classroom instruction and hands‑on practical training for individual and collective tasks.
• Demonstrate the use of traditional and emerging explosive systems and equipment in a training environment.
• Create, edit and evaluate training plans, task lists and performance assessments.
• Support the preparation of briefings and after‑action reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the U.S. Army with EOD responsibilities.
• At least 4 years supporting dismounted Direct‑Action EOD procedures.
• Ability to travel up to 25 % of the time.
• Secret security clearance.
• High school diploma or GED; completion of a Naval School EOD Course.
• Completion of a Foundational Instructor or Facilitator Course (or Booz Allen Facilitator Training).

• Operation of C‑IED equipment, handheld detectors and CREW devices.
• Knowledge of CBRN operations and related safety procedures.
• Experience with military training methods and curriculum development.
