Director, Advanced Manufacturing Analytics

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Director to lead the strategic development and deployment of advanced manufacturing analytics across its global network. You will drive data‑driven insights, pilot innovative AI/ML solutions, and scale proven capabilities to improve key performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage a 2–3‑year analytics capability roadmap aligned with manufacturing priorities.
• Identify high‑value use cases, build rapid pilots, and create repeatable playbooks for site‑wide deployment.
• Own global KPI dashboards (e.g., PPV, inventory, OEE) and evolve them into predictive and prescriptive tools.
• Partner with third‑party providers, structure outcome‑based contracts, and ensure timely delivery of value.
• Influence data architecture and ensure operational AI/ML controls meet quality and risk standards.
• Lead change management and adoption initiatives by deeply understanding use cases and collaborating with site operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading analytics or data‑science initiatives in a multi‑site manufacturing environment.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data insights into actionable manufacturing improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of coordinating internal teams and external partners.
• Track record of delivering measurable ROI from analytics projects.
