Designer, Hardware Outlet

About the role

The Hardware Outlet Designer will collaborate with the hardware team to develop design sketches, technical drawings, and sample comments for outlet handbags, small leather goods, and shoes. This role ensures design integrity and aligns with seasonal brand direction.

Key responsibilities

• Create design sketches, technical drawings, and sample comments for outlet hardware categories.
• Serve as the primary interface with design teams to execute seasonal design and brand direction.
• Uphold design integrity and brand standards throughout the development process.
• Research seasonal trends and monitor market competition.
• Manage department project timelines, ensuring milestones and calendar dates are met.
• Prepare and follow up on design meetings independently.
• Coordinate cross‑collaboration with in‑house hardware design teams (handbags, ready‑to‑wear, jewelry, shoes) to share assets and seasonal direction.
• Initiate project requests and oversee them to final approval.
• Maintain hardware design libraries and tools for leather goods and shoe design.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of experience in the fashion industry, preferably high‑fashion.
• Strong knowledge of market trends, luxe raw materials, and hardware construction for handbags.
• Diverse experience across design categories with solid construction expertise.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with strong organizational and deadline‑management skills.
• Highly adaptable communicator with attention to detail.
• Background in industrial or product design is a plus.
