About the role
The Department Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Paramount TV Media Communications team, assisting senior leaders across MTV, Nickelodeon, and BET. This role ensures smooth operations for both East and West Coast communications activities, handling calendars, travel, expense reporting, and press logistics.
Key responsibilities
- Provide executive administrative support to two Senior Vice Presidents, managing calendars, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agendas, materials, rooms, and catering.
- Track team initiatives, deadlines, and deliverables across Corporate Communications, PR, Social Impact campaigns, and major events.
- Organize, maintain, and distribute press materials such as releases, coverage highlights, media lists, and assets.
- Monitor press timelines, embargoes, and daily media coverage; prepare summaries and recap decks.
- Manage department billing, contracts, and vendor payments.
- Arrange travel and logistics for talent, including flights, accommodations, ground transport, and detailed itineraries.
- Support planning and execution of media junkets, virtual tours, screenings, awards shows, and special events.
- Assist with press visits to sets and studios for live‑action and animated series.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience or strong internship background.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with media and analytics tools such as Clip Book, Muck Rack, Comscore, and Critical Mention.
