Data Analyst

About the role

Hayden AI is looking for a Data Analyst to support a wide range of stakeholders—including transit agencies, product teams, finance, and executives—by delivering accurate data insights and visualizations. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and data science to turn raw transportation data into actionable information.

Key responsibilities

• Create and improve standardized metrics using dbt models and AWS Glue jobs.
• Develop compelling data stories, visualizations, and dashboards based on stakeholder feedback.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports for impact analysis, anomaly investigation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Act as the first responder for data discrepancy and freshness issues.
• Translate business questions into data requirements and serve as the liaison between customer‑facing teams and the data team.
• Monitor data quality across multiple fleets, flag issues, and drive fixes.
• Support data scientists by preparing datasets, performing exploratory analysis, and reviewing analytical work.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics.
• Strong ability to interpret descriptive statistics and present results.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to technical and business audiences.

Required skills

• SQL (experience with Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake).
• Python for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy).
• dbt and AWS Glue for data transformation.
• BI tools such as Tableau or Looker for dashboard creation.
