Data Analyst – Contract (Remote)

About the role

Mercur connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. We are looking for a contract Data Analyst to work remotely, providing expert feedback on existing analytics artifacts and creating new, high‑quality analytical deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Review and critique existing analytics slides, SQL/Python notebooks, and spreadsheets to improve clarity and accuracy.
• Create original analytics artifacts such as insight decks, ad‑hoc analyses, and A/B‑test write‑ups.
• Annotate and comment on all deliverables to enhance structure, narrative, and analytical rigor.
• Apply data‑analysis expertise to ensure artifacts reflect realistic, professional‑grade output.
• Work independently and asynchronously, delivering consistent, high‑quality work on a flexible schedule.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or data science.
• Comfortable presenting findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.
• Self‑directed and able to meet deadlines on a flexible schedule.
