Customer Service Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Associate to deliver fast, courteous checkout experiences, ensuring customers feel welcome and confident while maintaining accurate financial handling at the register.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and other payment types.
• Scan, bag, and package merchandise efficiently, managing the flow of groceries through checkout lanes and service desks.
• Handle self‑checkout lane opening, reporting, cash maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints, resolve issues promptly, and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, USDA, COOL, and restricted‑sale regulations.
• Assist in training new cashiers and restock front‑end supplies.
• Coordinate daily cash and accounting functions according to company policies.

• Attention to detail and financial responsibility when handling cash and transactions.
• Willingness to follow safety and regulatory guidelines.
