Controller – Financial Management for Growing Footwear Brand

About the role

Lane Boots, a premium women’s western boot brand, is seeking a Controller to own the financial health and reporting integrity of the business. Reporting directly to the President, you will provide the financial visibility needed to drive strategic decisions across e‑commerce, retail, and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and monthly reconciliations.
• Produce accurate monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements on a fixed schedule.
• Use Shopify as the source of truth for revenue and reconcile platform data to the books each month.
• Build and update a 13‑week rolling cash‑flow forecast, flagging risks proactively.
• Model cash implications of major initiatives such as retail openings, activations, inventory builds, and celebrity partnership payments.
• Analyze profitability by channel (DTC, wholesale, retail) and evaluate store economics for new locations.
• Partner with the LPT Controller on intercompany reporting and consolidated financial visibility.

Required profile

• Strong accounting background with experience in full‑cycle financial reporting.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide actionable financial insights.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to cash‑flow management.
