Controller – Build Accounting Function for Fast‑Growing SaaS Business

About the role

We are partnering with a rapidly scaling SaaS‑enabled IT services company (~$100M ARR) to create a brand‑new Controller position. This role will lead the accounting function, establish strong financial controls, and deliver accurate, GAAP‑compliant reporting in a fast‑moving, data‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end and year‑end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Design, build, and scale accounting processes, policies, and internal controls to support rapid growth.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for management and board‑level materials.
• Oversee revenue recognition and cost accounting for subscription‑based services.
• Partner with FP&A and operational teams to align financial reporting with business performance metrics.
• Manage audits, tax compliance, and relationships with external auditors and advisors.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and tools for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with business intelligence and data teams to improve financial data integrity across systems.

Required profile

• 7–12 years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or in‑house controllership roles.
• Proven experience building or scaling accounting functions in high‑growth, lean organizations.
• Deep technical accounting expertise with strong GAAP knowledge.
• Comfort working with imperfect systems and data while driving process improvements.
