About the role
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist provides radiographic imaging services for medical interpretation within a collaborative health‑care environment. The role involves direct interaction with clinical staff, clerical personnel, patients, families, and visitors to ensure accurate and high‑quality imaging.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
- Produce high‑quality images suitable for accurate medical interpretation.
- Verify patient identification and exam orders before imaging.
- Maintain clear communication with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care team members.
- Assist patients and families, providing guidance and reassurance throughout the imaging process.
Required profile
- Associate's degree from an accredited two‑year radiology technology program.
- Certification by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) in Radiology Technology.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Required skills
- Radiology Technology (ASRT certified)
- Operation of diagnostic imaging equipment
- Knowledge of radiographic safety and infection control procedures
