About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Contingent Worker to serve as a mentor and consultant for the new Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration within the College of Public Health. This position supports the dean during her first year, ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations.
Key responsibilities
- Mentor and consult Heather Garringer, the new Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration, throughout her inaugural year.
- Provide guidance on financial policies, budgeting, and administrative processes specific to the College of Public Health.
- Assist in strategic planning and execution of finance‑related initiatives and projects.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration in a College of Public Health or comparable academic unit.
- Proven ability to mentor senior academic leaders.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of higher‑education finance and budgeting.
- Understanding of public health academic administration.
