Construction Superintendent – Multifamily Projects

About the role

The Superintendent will lead the on‑site execution of wood‑frame multifamily residential projects for Moss, overseeing all construction activities from groundbreaking through close‑out. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in pre‑construction to identify project and contract requirements.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and scheduling team to develop and maintain the construction schedule.
• Conduct pre‑construction meetings with subcontractors and lead the site team from start to finish.
• Communicate scope and schedule updates to the entire site management team.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols that meet OSHA standards.
• Monitor job progress, prepare daily superintendent reports, and update schedules.
• Implement and oversee the quality‑control plan.
• Supervise field personnel, including Assistant Superintendents and subcontractor crews.
• Manage project turnover, close‑out processes, and documentation.
• Coach and evaluate new team members and participate in professional development activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising wood‑frame multifamily construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage subcontractor performance.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction quality‑control procedures.
• Effective communication skills with owners, project teams, and on‑site personnel.
