Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent coordinates all on‑site construction activities, ensuring high quality, safety, schedule adherence, and budget control. This role supervises trade and field teams while maintaining rigorous safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the project team in developing, updating, and maintaining master, 60‑day, and two‑week look‑ahead schedules for assigned trades.
• Implement and continuously maintain corporate safety program requirements on the project.
• Track material delivery dates and communicate requirements to the project superintendent.
• Uphold site safety and logistics plans, attending weekly foreman, superintendent, and safety meetings.
• Prepare thorough daily construction reports and capture progress photographs.
• Establish and maintain document control to ensure work follows the latest design documentation and approved shop drawings.
• Communicate design clarification needs promptly to the project manager for RFI issuance.
• Assist in preparing monthly status reports and ensure required permits and approvals are secured.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of ground‑up construction experience in NYC.
• Working knowledge of construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, and engineering drawings.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with internal teams and external subcontractors.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple tasks effectively.
