Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will partner with the Development department to lead multiple construction and remodel projects from concept through hand‑over. This role ensures projects meet Bagel Brands’ standards for quality, safety, budget, and schedule while supporting the growth of our iconic breakfast locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to define scopes, material needs, and timelines.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, monitor costs, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate utilities, lease documentation, and long‑lead items with Design and Facilities groups.
• Oversee construction execution, enforce safety codes, manage contract negotiations, and resolve design or site issues.
• Track deliveries, installations, and manage any delays, weather impacts, or emergencies.
• Review invoices against quotes, maintain construction files, and handle landlord TI reimbursements.
• Provide weekly status updates and ensure smooth turnover to Operations, including punch‑list completion.
• Develop strong relationships with owners, contractors, vendors, and internal managers.

Required profile

• Proactive leader who can work independently and take ownership of project delivery.
• Excellent communicator able to engage with all levels of management and external partners.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
