Community Support Specialist

About the role

The Community Support Specialist supports Greystar’s financial operations for assigned residential communities. Working from the corporate office in a hybrid schedule, you will handle accounting, bookkeeping, and vendor communication to ensure accurate financial reporting and optimal resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process onsite operational expenses, reconcile work performed, and code transactions to the appropriate Chart of Accounts.
• Manage resident account balances, collect delinquent payments, and enforce lease contracts to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, accounting teams, and property owners to ensure timely payment and accurate documentation.
• Assist with legal processes for regaining possession of apartments, including notice requirements and court filings.
• Prepare final accounting close‑out procedures, verify billing accuracy, and minimize liability for community damages.
• Maintain clear communication with residents, vendors, and internal teams regarding financial transactions.

Required profile

• Experience in property‑management accounting or a similar financial support role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and legal counsel.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating with onsite teams.

Required skills

• Yardi property management software (preferred).
