Community Manager for Residential Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a stabilized mid‑rise residential property in Berkeley. The role involves managing a small team, ensuring financial performance, and maintaining compliance with housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide input into the property budget by analyzing financial statements and market data.
• Achieve targeted revenue by setting rent rates, collecting rent and fees, and preparing monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts.
• Control expenditures within the approved budget and manage the petty‑cash fund.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Gather and interpret market and economic trends to support operational decisions.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of related experience in property or community management.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other multi‑family housing regulations.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday on‑site and manage a small team.
