About the role
The Community Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the CoRelate West Adams student living community in Los Angeles. This role is responsible for managing staff, budgets, resident relations, and ensuring compliance with all applicable housing regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide input to property budget development by analyzing financial statements and market data.
- Achieve targeted revenues by setting rent rates, collecting payments, making bank deposits, and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Approve vendor and contractor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and code charges to the appropriate accounts.
- Control expenditures within the approved budget and manage the petty cash fund.
- Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, notices, evictions, and collection of late fees.
- Maintain relationships with university housing and student affairs officials to stay informed of policy changes affecting the community.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other relevant regulations.
Required profile
- Experience in multifamily or student‑housing property management.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to develop and manage budgets.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, and related regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and on‑site staff.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and academic institutions.
